Who we are
E Glam Paradise (“we”, “us”) is a beauty studio in Accra, Ghana. We are responsible for the personal information you give us through www.theglamparadise.com, at the studio, by phone or on WhatsApp. We handle it in line with Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).
- Business: E Glam Paradise
- Studio: St. Lattice Street, near NMJ Ghana, Adenta, Accra
- Email: glamparadise23@gmail.com
- Phone / WhatsApp: +233530430958
- Website: www.theglamparadise.com
What we collect
- Booking details: your name, phone number, email address, the services you choose, your preferred artist, date and time, and any notes you add.
- Health and sensitivity notes (optional): if you tell us about allergies, skin sensitivities or a medical condition so we can treat you safely, we keep it only with your booking and only staff who look after you can see it. Please only share what’s needed for your treatment.
- Visit and payment history: appointments, cancellations and no-shows, what you paid, how you paid (cash, Mobile Money, card or online) and your GlamPoints balance.
- Online payments: when you pay online, your card or Mobile Money details are entered on our payment provider’s secure page. We never see or store your full card number, PIN or wallet PIN — we only receive a payment reference, the amount and whether it succeeded.
- Messages: what you send us through the contact form, and our replies.
- Technical information: basic server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) kept by our hosting provider for security and to keep the site running.
Why we use it
- To take, confirm, change and remind you about appointments, and to provide your treatment safely.
- To take payments, issue refunds and keep proper accounting and tax records.
- To run GlamPoints and recognise you as a returning client.
- To answer your questions and handle complaints.
- To understand how the studio is doing — for example, which services are popular and which times are busy. This uses totals and trends rather than looking at any one person.
- To send you offers or news only if you’ve agreed. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP or telling us, and we will stop.
We use your information because you asked us to provide a service (your booking or order), because the law requires us to keep certain records, because of our legitimate interest in running and improving the studio, or because you have given consent (for marketing, and for any health notes you choose to share).
Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the studio:
- Website and database hosting — Vercel (website) and Supabase (secure database, stored in the United Kingdom).
- Payments — Kora (Korapay) processes online card and Mobile Money payments, and the card networks and mobile money operators that complete them.
- Messaging — if we send you booking confirmations or reminders by SMS or email, the provider that delivers them receives your number or email and the message.
- Business reporting tools — our owner may use an AI assistant (such as ChatGPT or Claude) to understand the studio’s figures. It receives totals and trends; where it lists top clients it shows only a first name and initial, never phone numbers or email addresses.
- Authorities — if the law requires it, for example the Ghana Revenue Authority, or to protect someone’s safety.
Some of these providers store information outside Ghana. We choose providers that protect data to a high standard and only give them what they need to do their job.
How long we keep it
- Bookings, payments and invoices: for as long as we need them for tax and accounting obligations.
- Your client profile and GlamPoints: while you remain a client, and removed on request where the law allows.
- Contact form messages: up to two years.
- Unfinished online bookings that were never paid: released automatically and removed periodically.
How we protect it
The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Studio staff sign in with their own accounts and see only what their role needs; the front desk cannot see financial reports or change prices. Payment pages are run by our payment provider, not by us. If something ever went wrong that put your information at risk, we would tell you and the Data Protection Commission as the law requires.
Cookies and storage
We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser remembers the items in your beauty bag so they’re still there when you return, and studio staff stay signed in to the workspace. You can clear these at any time in your browser settings.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct anything that’s wrong or out of date;
- delete your information, where we don’t need to keep it by law;
- stop using it for marketing, or stop using it in a particular way.
Contact us using the details above. We may need to confirm it’s you before acting, and we’ll reply within 21 days. If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission of Ghana.
Children
Bookings must be made by someone aged 18 or over. Clients under 18 need a parent or guardian to book for them and to agree to the treatment.
Changes
We’ll update this page if the way we handle information changes, and change the date at the top. Significant changes will be shown on the website.
